BEST IN TOWN BY LUIS PAGAN

TO HAVE A BREAKFAST

Ice Box Cafe
Their food is natural and well balanced. The brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays is just perfect. The Guava Filled French Toast and the Ricotta Lemon Pancakes are GREAT!! Try to arrive before 12p to avoid waiting time.

TO SHOP
Lincoln Rd Mall and Bal Harbour Shops
Bal Harbour Shops: this is the place to shop the most upscale and fashion retailers in the Miami area. Last but not least, the Aventura Mall. A premier shopping destination and the largest conventional mall in the state of Florida. I like shopping here for its massive amount of stores. Whether you're looking for specialty shops, department stores or the more traditional retailers, one can find most of your favorite brands there.

TO HAVE LUNCH
The Restaurant at Mondrian.
This modern American brasserie and sushi bar venue is truly a pearl in West Ave. You get to enjoy the amazing view of Biscayne Bay and the Miami Skyline while having lunch and their signature cocktails. Some of my favorite dishes are the Tuna Causa, Pork Belly Carnitas, Branzino A La Plancha and The Diver Sea Scallops.

TO GET CULTURED
Wynwood Arts District, Little Havana and Coral Gables.
Within the streets of Wynwood, I get to enjoy the Graffitti arts on the walls and experience artists showcasing their exclusive arts collection. On the 2nd Saturday of every month (Art Walk), most galleries open the doors to the public and one gets to know and chat with the artists while sipping on complimentary cocktails, and enjoying live music and hors d'oeuvres. Little Havana is only a few miles from home.  You gotta have a "cortadito" and a couples of "croquetas and guava pastries every now and then (don't forget to work out afterward!). To watch the locals role authentic Cuban cigars and have their fun at Domino Park. Lunch or Dinner at Versailles! Or how about some fresh natural juice at "El Palacio de los Jugos" on Flagler St.

TO ENJOY THE SUN
Ocean Beach Park
Ocean Beach Park located in South Pointe right between 2nd and 3rd street. On this beach spot one can find mostly locals. There is lots of nice sand and the water is clear and calm most of the times.

TO RELAX
Water sports/adventures and Bike Riding
In addition to enjoying the sun at Ocean Beach Park; Boating, Wave Running, Snorkeling and Bike Riding are some of my favorite hobbies to relax around Miami. Boating around Biscayne Bay is a must do! If you plan on snorkeling, the Florida Keys are great. For bike riding, Key Biscayne is ideal for it. One can ride miles of cool trails particularly inside Virginia Key.

TO HAVE A DRINK
Around South Beach or Brickell
It depends on the day for me. On Sundays, Nikki Beach is always fun. Live DJ, sun and great mojitos. Weekdays: Mary Brickell Village, most bars and restaurants offer generous happy hours.

TO HAVE A DINNER
Pubbelly
I should say The Pubbelly's! The 4 locations located within Purdy Ave and 20th St are just amazing.  Asian tapas (Pubbelly and Pubbelly Sushi), they got them! Spanish tapas (Barceloneta), they got them! Steak tapas (Pubbelly Steak), they got them! These "gastropubs" tavern like restaurants are all successful. The atmosphere is casual and fun to hang out with your friends on any given day.

TO HAVE FUN
I mix it up according to what's going on out there. If any of my favorite dj's are in town and I'm in the mood to party till dawn, then most likely clubbing is the option.  The other fun: attending Miami Heat games at the AAA, and enjoying the many great dining venues around South Beach and Brickell.
